How a reading works

Upright, reversed, and why it isn’t just a count

i.

Reversed isn’t bad

In this deck it means close to the opposite of what people expect. A reversed Mirrors or Flags card says you’re further out than it looks.

ii.

Cards cross the deck

A reversal moves a card to its opposite suit: Mirrors to Embers, Flags to Crowns, and back again. A reversed Crowns or Embers card means the rebuild is still in progress.

iii.

The last card leans forward

Later positions weigh more than earlier ones. The final card is the one facing where you’re headed, so it counts most.

iv.

Some cards pair up

Six named pairs form a combination when they land in the same spread. If you draw one, the reading will tell you.

“Tarot doesn’t tell you what happens next. It gives you a vocabulary for what already did.”

Nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere, and there’s no email box at the end. It’s a deck of cards on a website, and the only thing it predicts is which of our scents suits the week you’re having.
